Fred Williams, Ian Fairweather, and Janet Dawson and Bea Maddock have all one thing in common - they live forever in people's memories. Anyone who loves art and is a keen follower of the Australian form of it wouldn't ask who, when they hear these names. These are legends or legendary artists who in their own ways have imprinted their signatures in the leaflets of history and they would never fade away.
Adelaide, that part of this romantically scintillating mainland, has produced a few who belong to this league. John Eyre (an ex-convict) Conrad Martens John Glover and above all Sir Hans Heysen whose legendary work, the water color painting of cattle drinking made in the second decade of the last century, all belong to this beautiful country side. Artists for born not out of the love for money or gold coins, instead they took birth just to die for it.
